frozen watering system

澳洲幸运5开奖

Protecting your automatic watering system in the winter is important to protect your investment, and ensure your system will be ready when needed. Sprinkler systems should be winterized before the first winter freeze.

Here are three steps for winterizing your automatic watering system:

1. Turn off the water:
You’ll need to shut off the water supply at the main valve.

2. Turn off the controller:
Turn the controller or timer off.

3. Remove the water:
All of the water needs to be removed from the entire system. If you have an air compressor, you can blow the water out using the compressor. To do this, you need to close both valves on the system’s backflow preventer. Next, remove the plug on the blow-out and connect the hose adapter of an air compressor. Open each valve one at a time and turn the compressor on, gradually increase the air, but don’t let it get over 50 psi. Once the water is removed, repeat the process until each valve is blown out.

If you’re not comfortable winterizing your sprinkler system, contact the irrigation experts at W. P. Law, Inc.
